The walks around the village and local coasts are wonderful, offering you a variety of scenic sheltered woodland or exposed cliff-top walks.
Four of the most popular walks would be:
Penlee Woods to Pier Cellars and Penlee Point (and onwards to Rame Head?)
Fort Picklecombe, (converted to luxury apartments),
Mt Edgcumbe House and Country Park Estate
Whitsands Bay with its 6 miles of sandy beaches (more so at lower tides)
The South West Coastal Footpath is quite close by.
